UnderGod

The Undergod was made for my Creature molding and sculpting class at Gnomon School of Visual Effects and Games and has to be one of my favorite pieces I've worked on thus far. Thanks to the mentorship of Jared Krichevsky I was able to really get this beast to shine.

For the creature's design, my initial idea was to base the body shape and some features around sea creatures and insects, while keeping some elements human. Toward that effort, I must emphasize the work of fellow Gnomon student Yulia Sablina, who took the time to design, illustrate and perfect the overall look and symbology in the piece. Additionally, she elevated the work beyond the class by creating concept art for a full project breakdown later down the line, as well as providing further character exploration.
